Korean, Mongolian Airlines Face KFTC Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 1:45 PM EST) -- South Korea's antitrust regulator is reportedly investigating whether Korean Air Lines Co. Ltd. and Mongolia's national airline have fixed rates for service between the two countries.

The Korean Fair Trade Commission started looking into the two airlines' prices for flights between Mongolia's capital, Ulaanbaatar, and Incheon, one of Korea's largest cities, in October and has visited Korean Air's headquarters in Seoul to probe the carrier's pricing system, the Korea Herald reported Monday, citing unnamed sources.
