230 Workers Accuse Turner Industries Of Race Bias

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 5:09 PM EST) -- About 230 workers at Turner Industries Group LLC have accused the company of discriminating against black employees, a lawsuit the plaintiffs' attorney called the largest hostile work environment nonclass action to be filed in years.

The employees filed their 374-page complaint Sunday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, about nine months after the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission determined that black employees were subject to racial slurs and that blacks were denied promotions more often than whites.
