ITC To Investigate Birthing Dolls From China

Law360, New York (February 2, 2011, 4:36 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate whether life-size birthing simulators from China violate Section 337 of the Tariff Act in response to a patent infringement complaint from Gaumard Scientific Co. Inc.

The case, centering on mannequins designed to simulate human birth, will be referred to an administrative law judge for an evidentiary hearing, the ITC said in a statement Tuesday.
