Match.com Hooks Up With OkCupid

Law360 (February 2, 2011, 3:55 PM EST) -- IAC/InterActiveCorp.'s popular dating website Match.com announced Wednesday that it acquired online dating company OkCupid for $50 million in cash, plus potential future payments contingent on performance.

IAC did not provide further details on the contingencies for additional future payments.

OkCupid caught IAC's eye by substantially growing its membership base over the past 18 months with its casual, easy-to-use dating website that is popular with younger adults, IAC said Wednesday.
