Sillybandz Maker Lodges Latest Wrist Band IP Suit

Law360 (February 2, 2011, 8:03 PM EST) -- The maker of the popular Sillybandz wrist band line filed its latest suit Wednesday to protect its intellectual property, accusing Howard Montag Group LLC of gaining a competitive edge by infringing its trademarks and copyrights.

The Montag Group sold similar products in similar packaging and spread the false claim that it was the true creator of the bands, BCP Imports LLC said in a complaint lodged in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
