DOI Unveils Scientific Integrity Policy

Law360, New York (February 3, 2011, 3:23 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior has unveiled new standards to safeguard scholarly and scientific activities from political pressure, following recently issued guidelines from the Obama administration.

The policy announced Tuesday by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar includes codes of conduct for scientists, scholars, supervisors and others that are intended to preserve the integrity of scientific analysis and reporting at the department charged with managing the country's natural resources.
