Obama Taps 3 Lawyers For DC Trial Court Posts

Law360, New York (February 4, 2011, 2:36 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama has tapped a children’s advocacy lawyer, a civil rights prosecutor and an employment attorney to fill three associate justice posts on Washington’s trial court.

Obama on Thursday nominated Jennifer Di Toro, Donna Murphy, and Yvonne Williams — all Washington-based lawyers — to serve on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, the three would replace retired judges Kaye Christian, Brook Hedge and Judith Retchin.
