Distrigas Addresses EU’s Concerns

Law360, New York (April 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Belgium’s main gas distributor Distrigas AG has taken steps to alleviate antitrust concerns over its long-term gas supply contracts, the European Commission announced Wednesday.

The Commission will now take comments from rival companies and customers, and will test to make sure Belgium’s gas supply market avoids foreclosure. If everything pans out, the E.U. regulatory agency will then end its antitrust probe of the company.
