US Chicken Industry Faces Mexican Dumping Probe

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 4:11 PM EST) -- Mexican officials said Tuesday that they had begun investigating whether U.S. poultry companies were dumping dark meat chicken products in the country after a preliminary probe indicated the cheap imports were hurting Mexican producers.

The anti-dumping investigation will focus on various cuts of chicken leg and thigh meat produced in the U.S. that Mexican producers claim are threatening their ability to sell their own chicken parts at a profit, Mexico's Ministry of Economy said in the country's official journal Tuesday.
