UMass Gets Unfair Enrichment Claim Nixed In IP Suit

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 7:28 PM EST) -- A federal judge has approved the University of Massachusetts' bid to trim a claim from a suit over RNA interference patents from Max Planck Institute and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Judge Patti Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Monday granted UMass' bid to nix an unjust enrichment claim in the dispute over a licensing agreement related to two RNA interference patent applications.
