AIPLA Backs Plan To Revamp U.S. Patent System

Law360 (September 26, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The 15,000-member American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) says it supports, for the most part, a plan by the National Academy of Sciences to revamp the U.S. patent system.

“The NAS Report contains an impressive and comprehensive set of recommendations for reforming the U.S. patent system. AIPLA commends the NAS effort and believes that the NAS Report deserves the most careful consideration by all the constituencies interested in the U.S. patent system,” the bar association said in a paper on the report.
