Court Approves Northwest Purchase Of Mesaba

Law360, New York (April 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy court has approved bankrupt carrier Mesaba Airlines’ plan to become a subsidiary of fellow airline Northwest, paving the way for Mesaba to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection by the end of the month.

Judge Gregory Kishel of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota approved Mesaba’s reorganization plan, which outlines the company’s plan to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest, on Monday.
