Hoover Recalls 142K Vacuums Over Fire, Shock Hazards

Law360, New York (February 9, 2011, 4:37 PM EST) -- Hoover Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday the voluntary recall of about 142,000 of the company's vacuums over fire and shock hazards.

The CPSC told consumers to stop using Hoover-brand WindTunnel Canister vacuums, model number S3755, because of the reported hazards. Owners of the vacuum should contact the company for a free repair, the agency said.
