US Fire May Have To Pay Superfund Costs: Lubrizol

Law360 (February 10, 2011, 7:26 PM EST) -- Lubrizol Corp. on Thursday dragged U.S. Fire Insurance Co. into a dispute with Arrowood Indemnity Co. over which insurer, if any, must foot the bill for a Superfund site cleanup that has already reached $2.9 million.

Lubrizol filed a third party complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, seeking a declaration over whether U.S. Fire must pay for some of the cleanup costs under a series of umbrella policies the insurer issued beginning in 1962.
