Ericsson Offers EU Remedies On $65M Nortel Deal

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 2:57 PM EST) -- Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson has offered antitrust commitments to European Union regulators reviewing its $65 million bid to buy bankrupt Nortel Networks Corp.’s multiservice switch business.

The European Commission received proposed remedies Thursday, according to the regulator's records, though further details on the offer were not revealed.

Representatives for Ericsson did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday.

The antitrust watchdog sought public comment on the deal in early January, saying it might fall within the scope of the EU's merger review.
