German Fire Truck Cos. Fined €21M In Cartel Probe

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 3:21 PM EST) -- Germany's antitrust watchdog has imposed a total of €20.5 million ($27.7 million) in fines against three manufacturers of firefighting vehicles that have allegedly operated a price-fixing cartel since 2001.

The three companies fined Thursday are Albert Ziegler GmbH & Co. KG and Schlingmann GmbH & Co. KG in Germany and the Rosenbauer Group in Austria. Proceedings are still pending against a fourth manufacturer, according to Germany's federal cartel office, the Bundeskartellamt.
