Bill Would Create Watchdog For Federal Judges

Law360, New York (February 16, 2011, 3:55 PM EST) -- Conservative lawmakers have drafted a bill that would create an independent inspector general to review waste and abuse among federal judges, possibly extending to U.S. Supreme Court justices.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., issued a joint statement Tuesday unveiling the Judicial Transparency and Ethics Enhancement Act of 2011, announcing separate versions of the bill in the Senate and House of Representatives.
