Pilots Union Bargained Improperly, NLRB Judge Says

Law360, New York (February 17, 2011, 7:16 PM EST) -- The Air Line Pilots Association failed to bargain properly with the union that represents its own professional employees, a National Labor Relations Board judge has ruled.

Administrative Law Judge Bruce Rosenstein decided Tuesday that the union violated the National Labor Relations Act by laying off 12 employees and imposing unilateral changes to pay, benefits and work rules, handing a victory to the Union of ALPA Professional and Administrative Employees Unit 1.
