UK High Court Declines BAA Airport Divestiture Row

Law360 (February 18, 2011, 12:34 PM EST) -- BAA Airports Ltd. said Friday that the U.K.'s highest court had declined to hear its challenge to a Competition Commission order that it must sell Stansted Airport and either Edinburgh Airport or Glasgow Airport.

The High Court's decision came nearly two years after a March 2009 final decision by the competition regulator and after an appeal in which BAA claimed a key investigator was biased against the airport operations giant.

BAA said it was still negotiating with the Competition Commission.
