Patent Reform Act Headed To Senate Floor

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 4:24 PM EST) -- U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said Friday that the full Senate would begin debating comprehensive patent reform legislation Feb. 28 in hopes of capitalizing on bipartisan momentum building behind the long-delayed bill.

The full Senate will open debate on S. 23, the Patent Reform Act of 2011, when it returns from the Presidents Day week recess, according to Leahy, who has championed patent reform efforts since Congress first undertook them in 2005.
