EPA Seeks Approval Of NC Superfund Site Deal

Law360, New York (February 22, 2011, 7:18 PM EST) -- The U.S. asked for a final ruling Tuesday in a suit seeking liability for cleanup of the lower Roanoke River that could bring an end to litigation over the Weyerhaeuser Superfund site in North Carolina.

The government filed the motion for judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina after it failed to receive any feedback during the 30-day public comment period required as part of its consent decree with defendant Domtar Paper Co. LLC.
