Ford Recalls F-150 Trucks Over Air Bag Risk

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 5:56 PM EST) -- Ford Motor Co. announced Tuesday it planned to recall 144,000 of its F-150 pickup trucks to fix driver-side air bags that deploy without warning.

The car company is recalling a smaller number than the 1.3 million trucks recommended by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The agency suggested a wider recall of vehicles from the model years 2004 to 2006, but Ford is recalling only trucks from the 2005 to 2006 model year.
