Miss. Appellate Judge Picked For State High Court

Law360 (February 24, 2011, 2:45 PM EST) -- Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour on Wednesday tapped Mississippi Court of Appeals Chief Judge Leslie D. King to fill a vacancy on the state's Supreme Court.

King will serve out the remainder of the term of Justice James Graves, who departed the state high court bench on Feb. 17 to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. King's term will expire in December 2012, at which time voters will elect a permanent replacement.
