Duke, Insurers End Suit Over Lacrosse Rape Case

Law360 (February 24, 2011, 11:52 AM EST) -- Duke University, an American International Group Inc. unit and United Educators Insurance told a federal court in North Carolina on Tuesday they have resolved a coverage dispute over litigation stemming from 2006 rape allegations against members of Duke's lacrosse team.

In a joint stipulation in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, the parties, including AIG unit National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., agreed to the dismissal of all claims, counterclaims and third-party claims in the matter.
