Samson Sues Chevron Over Deepwater Horizon Losses

Law360, New York (February 24, 2011, 3:40 PM EST) -- Chevron USA Inc. Wednesday won the right to transfer to Houston ts dispute with Samson Offshore Co. over losses sustained by Chevron when Deepwater Horizon disaster rendered one of its drill ships idle.

Judge Clair V. Eagan in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma allowed Chevron to transfer its case to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas because both parties had agreed to a dispute resolution procedure or be heard by a court in Houston, Texas.
