Pillsbury Winthrop Starts Subprime Industry Group

Law360, New York (April 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has formed a group to focus on the collapse of the subprime mortgage market, recognizing that the industry’s woes will lead to a wave of litigation and regulatory and transactional dilemmas.

The new group’s creation was also motivated by the realization that legal issues related to the subprime industry can span multiple practice areas, such as real estate, bankruptcy and securities law, according to Rick Antonoff, the bankruptcy and insolvency partner who will lead the group.
