Land O'Lakes Settles Suit Over Alpaca Deaths

Law360, New York (March 1, 2011, 5:10 PM EST) -- Land O'Lakes Inc. has settled a long-running lawsuit claiming the company sold alpaca farmers tainted feed that killed and sickened more than 100 animals, according to an order filed Tuesday in an Ohio federal court.

Judge Christopher A. Boyko of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio approved the confidential settlement, putting an end to the more than seven-year-old case.
