Ford Recalls 31K Vehicles Over Fire Risks

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 2:40 PM EST) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 31,000 vehicles because of a possible fuel leak risk and electrical issues that could cause fires, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Wednesday.

The automaker will recall 23,688 of its 2010 model year Ford Ranger trucks equipped with 23-L engines, according to documents filed with the NHTSA.

The affected trucks were built between October 2009 and May 2010 at the company's Twin Cities Assembly Plant, the filing said.
