UK Watchdog Taps Competition Head To Settle Spats

Law360, New York (March 2, 2011, 6:15 PM EST) -- Companies being investigated by the U.K.'s Office of Fair Trading will soon be able to take disputes over the agency's procedures to a new adjudicator, under a pilot program announced Wednesday.

The one-year pilot program is part of the OFT's broader efforts to speed up its antitrust investigations while also making the process more transparent and efficient, the regulator said Wednesday.
