Ala. Sen. Fights For Sleeping Bag Trade Exemption

Law360 (March 3, 2011, 12:51 PM EST) -- Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., introduced legislation on Wednesday to reauthorize the Generalized System of Preferences legislation aimed at boosting poor countries’ exports that he blocked from passing in December.

Sessions’ version of the reauthorized legislation, though, contains the same earmark barring Bangladeshi sleeping bags from the act’s duty-free treatment that killed the reauthorization before.
