Former AMEX Chief Denies SEC Allegations

Law360 (April 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The former head of the American Stock Exchange has formally denied any wrongdoing in connection with allegations that the exchange violated federal securities laws and record-keeping requirements.

Salvatore Sodano, who served as chairman and chief executive of the AMEX from 1999 to 2005, on Monday filed a response to the allegations with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which has filed administrative charges against him.
