Ikea Recalls Coffee Makers Over Cut, Burn Risks

Law360, New York (March 3, 2011, 6:17 PM EST) -- Ikea Home Furnishings said Thursday it was recalling 128,000 French-press style coffee and tea makers made in China because the glass can break unexpectedly, posing burn and laceration hazards.

The home goods giant said 94,000 of its Forsta coffee and tea makers were being recalled in the U.S., and 34,000 in Canada. The product is described as a press pot comprising a handmade clear glass pot, metal holder, and black plastic top and handle.
