NEC Sues Linde For $5.7M In Cleanup Costs

Law360, New York (March 3, 2011, 7:42 PM EST) -- National Envelope Corp. hit Linde LLC and its predecessors with a suit in bankruptcy court on Wednesday, seeking contribution for possibly $5.7 million in cleanup costs for contamination from a Union, N.J., manufacturing facility.

NEC, which sold nearly all of its assets to The Gores Group LLC last year, contends in a complaint in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware that Linde has refused to accept liability for the hazardous substances and declined offers to cooperate, despite the alleged activities of its predecessors...
