Ex-Wachovia Bank Manager Cops To Stealing $14M

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 7:30 PM EST) -- A former Wachovia Corp. business relationship manager pled guilty Friday in a Virginia federal court to stealing $14.2 million from the bank's clients by pushing a phony wealth management product.

Judge Liam O’Grady of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia accepted Linda Speaks Tribby's guilty plea to one count of bank fraud, according to the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Tribby, 42, faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison, the U.S. attorney said.
