EU To Update Trade Policy Procedures

Law360 (March 7, 2011, 5:09 PM EST) -- The European Union took the first step Monday toward streamlining the way it decides and implements trade policy.

The EU’s executive body, the European Commission, is proposing to simplify the way trade legislation is adopted and extend to trade regulation the “comitology” rules that cover other areas of EU policymaking, according to a press release.
