DuPont Sues Rival To Protect Teflon Trademark

Law360, New York (March 8, 2011, 7:35 PM EST) -- E.I. DuPont Nemours & Co. hit a another coatings maker Tuesday with a Massachusetts lawsuit alleging the company is using the term Teflon on manufactured goods that do not contain DuPont's trademarked product.

The chemical giant filed its complaint for trademark infringement, trademark counterfeiting, unfair competition and trademark dilution against A.W. Chesterton Co. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
