EU OKs French Insurance For Aircraft Parts Suppliers

Law360 (March 8, 2011, 5:54 PM EST) -- The European Commission has concluded that a French program offering exchange risk insurance to companies that supply parts to aircraft manufacturers is not anti-competitive and does not constitute state aid under European Union law.

The commission announced Tuesday that its probe into the program showed that suppliers that had taken advantage of the guarantee offered by the French government did not benefit from any economic advantage and that the program is in line with market principles.
