EPA Settles With Mich., Enviros Over Ship Discharges

Law360, New York (March 8, 2011, 7:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reached settlements Tuesday in the D.C. Circuit with several environmental groups and Michigan in a dispute over the agency's permits for ship ballast water discharge, which can introduce invasive species to U.S. waterways.
