Merck Sues Dr. Reddy's Over ANDA For Propecia Generic

Law360 (October 2, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- U.S. drug maker Merck & Co. has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Indian generic maker Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories over its plans to make a generic version of male hair growth treatment Propecia.

The lawsuit, filed Friday with the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, came in response to Dr. Reddy’s Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Finasteride tablets 1 mg with a Paragraph IV certification on three of the four Orange Book patents listed for...
