Report Targets EU Electricity Market Condensation

Law360, New York (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European wholesale electricity market is not “functioning properly,” and prices are substantially higher than they would be in a more competitive world, according to a study released Friday.

The analysis, conducted by external consultants London Economics, supports the findings of the Commission’s January report on competition in the European energy sector.
