Clinton Pushes Green Trade Efforts At APEC Forum

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 7:15 PM EST) -- The U.S. will push the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation to focus on environmental trade issues including eliminating fuel subsidies and promoting trade in green products in 2011, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday at the opening of the organization's annual forum.

Clinton emphasized the U.S.' plans to take advantage of its year hosting the group to impel APEC to "deliver useful, tangible results," particularly to reduce trade barriers and encourage green trade.
