Citrix Escapes Long-Running Remote Access Patent Suit

Law360 (March 10, 2011, 2:59 PM EST) -- A Florida federal judge on Wednesday nixed the final claim in an inventor's long-running infringement suit against Citrix Systems Inc., finding that the asserted patent covering remote computer access technology is invalid due to prior art.

Judge Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida granted Citrix's motion for partial summary judgment, rejecting plaintiff Alexander S. Orenshteyn's remaining contention that the software company infringed claim 1 of U.S. Patent Number 5,889,942.
