HHS Proposes New State Health Care Waiver Rules

Law360, New York (March 10, 2011, 8:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday proposed a set of new rules that would allow states greater flexibility in creating their health care systems.

The new regulations outline steps that states may take to receive the state innovation waiver offered by the Affordable Care Act. The waiver will allow states to pursue their own methods of creating health care options for their residents.
