Munger Tolles Reps Berkshire In $9B Lubrizol Buy

Law360, New York (March 14, 2011, 2:04 PM EDT) -- Berkshire Hathaway Inc. announced Monday that it had agreed to purchase all outstanding shares of Ohio-based Lubrizol Corp., the world's largest producer of engine lubricant chemicals, for $135 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $9 billion.

The purchase price is 28 percent higher than the closing price of Lubrizol shares on Friday, and 18 percent higher than the company's all-time high stock price, Lubrizol and Berkshire said.
