EC Puts Cos. On Notice In Auto Glass Cartel

Law360, New York (April 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Britain’s Pilkington Group Ltd. and several other companies will have two months to respond to allegations that they participated in an automotive-glass cartel, after Europe’s competition watchdog sent out formal notices detailing its accusations.

The European Commission confirmed Monday that it had sent statements of objections to various unspecified companies, alleging that those companies may have allocated customers and set prices and supply quotas for most of Europe’s motor vehicle makers.
