Paper Co. Keeps $29M Award In Coating Contract Suit

Law360 (March 15, 2011, 8:04 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin appeals court on Tuesday upheld a $29 million jury award for a paper company in a suit that accused Andritz BMB AG of breaching a contract to install a specially engineered paper coating line at a mill.

The Court of Appeals of the State of Wisconsin, District 3, found that Appleton Papers Inc. made it perfectly clear it was exercising an option to purchase Andritz's coater equipment and services, despite Andritz's arguments to the contrary.
