Nestle Pulls Lean Cuisine After Plastic Complaints

Law360, New York (March 15, 2011, 3:58 PM EDT) -- Nestle Prepared Foods Co. has recalled 10,260 pounds of Lean Cuisine spaghetti and meatballs entrees after customers in Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin complained of pieces of hard plastic in their food, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Monday.

The product, “Lean Cuisine Simple Favorites, Spaghetti with Meatballs,” was shipped to retailers and distributors east of the Rocky Mountains on Oct. 25, and poses only a low health risk, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said, announcing the Class II recall.
