Wyeth Sues To Protect Its Best-Selling Drug

Law360 (April 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Wyeth has filed a patent infringement suit against Osmotica Pharmaceutical Corp., accusing Osmotica of seeking regulatory approval to market a knockoff of the extended-release form of Wyeth’s blockbuster depression and anxiety treatment Effexor.

Wyeth filed the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
