Fed. Circ. Vacates Atty Fee Award In Roofing IP Fight

Law360, New York (March 16, 2011, 5:57 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday struck down an award of attorneys' fees for roofing products manufacturer Cornell Corp. in a case brought by Old Reliable Wholesale Inc. over an insulated roof board patent.

A three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a precedential ruling reversing a trial court's decision to award Cornell more than $183,000 in attorneys' fees and related travel and out-of-pocket expenses.
