Kellogg Sues Packaging Co. Over Cereal Recall

Law360, New York (March 21, 2011, 4:10 PM EDT) -- Kellogg Co. filed a suit Friday in Michigan claiming FPC Flexible Packaging Corp. breached a supply contract when it allegedly produced defective cereal liners that forced the company to issue a recall.

Kellogg's suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, said Kellogg had to issue vouchers to consumers who bought bad cereal, incurred investigation costs in determining the problem, suffered damage to its reputation and had to destroy inventory due to the recall.
